The cost estimate is based on three factors:

The level of academic difficulty involved
Obviously
we have to distinguish between someone who needs help in resolving
a problem of Partial Differential Equations in 24 hours and someone
who has to complete some basic algebra exercises in the span of
a week.
Thus the level of difficulty and the degree of urgency act as multipliers
of the basic charge, with a maximum percentage increase of 25%.
This means that, in the worst case, you would never pay more than
$25 per hour – far less than you would have to pay for an
hour of tutoring with anyone else.
